The Informatics Specialist supports clinical operations through the optimization, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvement of Epic and related clinical technologies. This role partners with frontline clinicians, operational leaders, and technical teams to translate clinical needs into effective system and workflow solutions.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm

On-site; Larkspur, CA

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Clinical Workflow & System Optimization 

  • Analyze clinical and operational workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, usability, documentation, and patient care.
  • Translate clinical and operational needs into system requirements, workflow recommendations, and technology solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design and validate workflows that balance user needs, system capabilities, and regulatory requirements

Implementation & End-User Support

  • Support initiatives from requirements gathering and testing through deployment and post-go-live optimization.
  • Develop and execute workflow-based testing and participate in user acceptance testing.
  • Provide hands-on and at-the-elbow support during go-lives, upgrades, and other high-impact initiatives.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as a liaison between clinicians, operational leaders, and technical teams.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to clinical and operational audiences.
  • Participate in governance, prioritization, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Training & On-Call Support

  • Provide occasional Epic classroom training coverage and workflow education as needed.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for critical Epic or clinical application issues.

Education/Experience:  
•    2+ years of experience supporting Epic or other clinical applications, clinical informatics, healthcare technology, or related healthcare systems and workflows.
•    Experience collaborating with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  •  Current Epic certification in Dorothy and/or Comfort required. Candidates with current Epic Ambulatory certification may be considered in lieu of Dorothy/Comfort.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Epic or other clinical applications, clinical informatics, healthcare technology, or related healthcare systems and workflows.

Pay Range:
$130K - $150K annually
